Today instantly became a fabulous day as soon as these little beauties arrived for me through my letterbox. This time last year, you would not of caught me wearing a nude lip, I was a devoted plum/berry lipstick lover. Now, I have been completely converted and I am all about the nude.
The two shades pictured above are Mehr (left) and Velvet Teddy (right). Mehr has been a repurchase as I wear this shade to absolute death. I am loving anything this mauve colour at the moment, especially lipsticks and nail polishes. This shade with Mac's soar lip liner makes your lips look so full and plump *Kylie Jenner eat your heart out*. It's subtly sexy and is the perfect shade for every day. Mehr is a matte finish... personally I don't find that Mac matte lipsticks are that drying on me, however I do need to ensure my lips are exfoliated etc before hand to ensure that it doesn't start to go all bitty. Mehr was my first 'nude' lipstick - it's not super nude like Velvet Teddy, but going from a berry lip to this shade was a big jump for me.
I have heard so much hype about Velvet Teddy and I always thought that I wouldn't like this shade on me. But now I have been using Mehr, Velvet Teddy isn't such a frightening shade to me anymore and I adore it. I would describe the colour as a more browny nude with peach tones in comparison to Mehr that is more pinky. This also paired with Mac Soar lip liner is amazing and I can't get enough of these lip combos. This too is matte so it doesn't bleed and stays on for hours.
Plus, Mac had free delivery at the time of purchasing so it would of been rude not to have bought anything! Definitely recommend these lip colours for any nude lovers - anyone recommend any other fab nude lipsticks? - I want to expand my collection!

DeleteI wish I can pull off wearing velvet teddy (although, I have not tried the lipstick before before). Nude lipsticks tend to make me look dead lol. Mehr looks like my typical kind of lipstick & I love the color too

DeleteI wear velvet teddy, but it looks a lot browner on me than I have seen it looking on other people! I still love it though, as it lasts all day! :) My other favourite nude lipstick is Bourjois' rouge edition in '02 Beige Trench' which I line with Rimmel's Eastend Snob. If you have never had it, you should definitely check it out!xx
