BITS AND BOBS: MISSGUIDED & ZARA

So I've been doing a little bit of online shopping the past week or so and I just wanted to show you the few bits and bobs that I have bought... You know when you're looking for one thing in particular and then 'accidentally' ending up with 6 other things in your basket... *oops* With my holiday slowly approaching, I really wanted some more summery skirts/shorts to take with me and the Zara sale had a few hidden gems.  Missguided also came to the rescue as I was stuck last minute on what to wear on a night out with the girls so I went for the safe option of ordering two simple bralets (gotta have options right?) and pairing it with high waisted black trousers and heels.. sorted.

SUGARY GOODNESS

ALL HAIL THE BUBBLEGUM LIP SCRUB FROM LUSH. This little pot lasts you a life time and only costs £5.50. I've had this product well over 2 years now and it's nowhere near in need of replacing. I never really buy lip scrubs or anything from Lush apart from the odd bath bomb here and there.. but after being talked into buying this lip scrub by the sales advisor, I am so glad I bought it.

"IF YOU READ A LOT, NOTHING IS AS GREAT AS YOU'VE IMAGINED. VENICE IS -- VENICE IS BETTER"

Venice is a destination that seems to be on everyone's bucket list... It's just one of those places that you see on TV and convince yourself that there's nothing more that you want to do than relax on a Gondola along the Grand Canal with champagne in one hand and a slice of fresh Italian pizza in the other. Let me tell you that the TV & the glossy magazines don't even show a fraction of its beauty. Venice is incredible... something about the fact that the whole city is built on water makes it so unique and picturesque... it is without a doubt the most gorgeous place I have ever visited. Here is my Venice experience:

A LONG TIME SEARCHING

Ok so this might sound a little strange but I have been searching for a specific anklet for almost a year *sad I know*. An anklet with an Indian elephant charm... You know when you kind of create an item of clothing or accessory in your head & you search high and low for it on the high street and it is no where to be found because it doesn't exist??? Well that was me with this anklet. I have no idea where my sudden urge to buy an elephant anklet came from as I don't own many anklets..and I'm not even a massive lover of elephants...

COLLECTIVE TOPSHOP, ZARA, ASOS, PRIMARK & NEW LOOK HAUL MAY 2014

So after finally getting my blog up and running, I thought it was about time that I started to post! What better than to begin with a collective haul? Walking around the shops, I find it extremely difficult not to buy everything I see, with pretty prints and bright colours taking over the shops for summer, 'Holiday shopping' is the perfect excuse to empty the bank account... we all need new bikinis am I right ladies? Here are just some of my favourite items that I have picked up over the past month from Topshop, Zara, Asos, Primark & New Look.

BLACK IS THE NEW BLACK

So the time has come and I have finally finished my first year of uni.. which means I am home and back to normality for just over 3 months. Blogging has always been something that I've been interested in and over many years I've created a handful of blogs which I haven't stuck to or posted regularly on. This is why I am setting myself a goal for the summer.. Katie don't just sit around watching endless episodes of Gossip Girl on Netflix, get blogging!

We all have that one major problem when creating a blog... coming up with a blog name. Something that sounds so simple turns out to be one massive headache trying to avoid the cliche, the cringe and the unoriginal... and when you finally come up with a name SOMEBODY ELSE ALREADY HAS IT. Sadly, when your brain shrivels up and you can't think of a replacement you result to adding extra letters or numbers which is why my blog unfortunately has two k's unnecessarily added to the end *sigh*.

Not only is this a problem, but trying to design a layout that looks just slightly professional is proving difficult.. this is a tad embarrassing as I did ICT at A Levels *double sigh*. So bear with me as I get my blog up and running whilst experimenting with different layouts and designs. Do expect to see posts on beauty, fashion and lifestyle (by lifestyle I mean posts about how much I love the Kardashians).

With love xo
Katie
